Every so often we round up what has changed inside MCM360 — the platform behind our clients’ AI receptionists, review systems, and follow-up — and translate it from release notes into plain English. Two changes landed this cycle that are worth your attention, especially if your business ever gets a call at two in the morning that genuinely cannot wait.

The AI Receptionist Can Now Wake Up Your On-Call Tech

Until now, the AI receptionist handled after-hours calls the sensible default way: answer every call, take down what the caller needs, and have the message waiting for you in the morning. For most calls that is exactly right. But the trades have a category of call where morning is too late — the burst pipe, the furnace out in January, the water heater flooding a basement.

The receptionist can now tell the difference and act on it. You define what counts as a true emergency for your business, and when a caller describes one, the system dispatches it live: ringing your on-call person directly and connecting the call, or escalating down a list until a human picks up. A new instant routing capability under the hood is part of the same change — calls can now be passed to the right person’s phone the moment the conversation warrants it, rather than everything landing in the message queue.

In plain English: your business can finally have it both ways. Routine after-hours calls get answered, booked, and queued for morning without costing you sleep — and the genuine emergency gets a human on the line tonight, which for an HVAC, plumbing, or restoration business is the difference between capturing that job and losing it to whoever answered. If you run on-call rotations, this is worth setting up properly: who defines an emergency, who gets rung first, who backs them up. Ask us and we will walk through it with you.

Review Requests Can Now Wait Until the Invoice Is Paid

Our review and follow-up systems ask every customer for a review automatically — that consistency is the whole reason the system outperforms remembering to ask. The timing question, though, has always had a wrinkle for businesses that invoice: ask right after the job and you sometimes ask someone who still has a bill, a change order, or a billing question in flight. Awkward, occasionally counterproductive.

The platform can now hold the review request until the invoice is actually marked paid in full. If your business runs its books on QuickBooks, the payment status can flow through automatically — paid invoice in your accounting, review request goes out, nothing for you to remember.

In plain English: the ask now lands at the moment the relationship is cleanest — job done, bill settled, nothing unresolved. For contractors and anyone else who invoices rather than collecting on the spot, that is a quietly meaningful upgrade to how the ask is received. One honest caveat: later asks trade a little freshness for that cleanliness, so businesses paid at time of service should mostly keep asking right away. It is a setting, not a rule — we will help you pick the right timing for how you get paid.

Already a Client? Here Is What To Do

Neither change switches itself on, because both depend on how your business actually runs — your definition of an emergency, your on-call list, your billing flow. If either one sounds useful, get in touch or call (920) 383-3387 and we will set it up with you. If you are not a client yet and the idea of a receptionist that knows when to wake somebody up sounds like your kind of problem solved, the same number works.
